the farm

Empire Hills Farm is located right next door to The Perch.

This is where we offer nightly horse boarding for trail riders staying at The Perch. Proprietor Michele has a menagerie of her own, including horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, ducks and dogs.

PLEASE NOTE! There is no direct trail access from the farm.

You must trailer to any of the trails you wish to ride.

Boarding Options:

Private Paddock (offered for those lodging at The Perch) $25.00 per night, per horse, up to 4 horses

WE ACCEPT RIGS UP TO 30 FEET LONG ONLY (Truck+Trailer)

We do not have the space to fit larger rigs. There is no pull-through.

  • Must provide negative Coggins Certificate PRIOR to arrival

  • Bring your own feed/hay (Michele can assist you in feeding)

  • Trailer parking available at the farm

  • Your own private, secure paddock, comfortable for 2-4 horses to share.

Rustic Camping with LQ Horse Trailer, $15 per night, up to 2 horses

WE ACCEPT RIGS UP TO 30 FEET LONG ONLY (Truck+Trailer)

We do not have the space to fit larger rigs. There is no pull-through.

  • No tent camping, up to 3 trailers if coming as a group

  • Must provide negative Coggins Certificate PRIOR to arrival

  • Bring your own feed/hay (Michele can assist you in feeding)

  • Access to water

  • Can use generators dawn to dusk only

  • Small panel corral, 12 x 12 for 2 horses

Full Hook Up (30 amp + water) Camping with LQ Horse Trailer, $45.00 per night, up to 2 horses

  • Horses must share a paddock, up to 2 horses

  • Bring your own feed/hay (Michele can assist you with feedings if needed)

If bringing more horses than the accommodations limit, please reach out to Michele at the farm for possible options. $10.00 per additional horse, per night.

(the only horse trail in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park)
